Camptown spreads 26 cabins and 24 hotel rooms across a wooded property in Leeds, at the foot of the Catskills. There are private corners to settle into and shared spaces that bring people together: a pantry, a seasonal pool, a sauna and places to eat.
Casa Susanna gives the stay its culinary center. Chef Efrén Hernández draws on Mexican food traditions and Hudson Valley ingredients, with tortillas made in-house and a menu that changes with the season. Around the hotel, the nearby towns offer art, breakfast stops and another reason to take the long way back.
“Mexican cooking led by Efrén Hernández, with house-made tortillas and ingredients from Hudson Valley producers. Dinner or brunch can be a reason to make a stay of it.”
